Collaboration/Servant leadership
WHAT IS IT?
In movies, you will always find a supporting character or supporting cast that surrounds a main character. A character like Frodo would be nothing without Samwise. Black Panther would be nothing without Shuri. And Katniss would be nothing without Peta…or Gale…you pick? In our REEL SUPPORTING CAST experience, each participant will explore what support looks like in their favorite movies, resulting in a very specific visual articulation of what support means to each person on your team.
WHO IS IT FOR?
REEL SUPPORTING CAST is primarily for teams that work closely together. You might have a desire for your team to collaborate more or you might have a desire for certain team members to see one another more clearly to reduce conflict. You might, as a team leader, have a desire to understand how you can best serve and care for each of your team members in a way that is meaningful to them. Or you might want to be intentional in creating a team culture of servant leadership. If these are desires or needs that you have, then REEL SUPPORTING CAST is for you!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
REEL SUPPORTING CAST is a half-day experience and is offered in-person and virtually. We do not assume that each person wants to be supported in the same way, so team members submit a clip of the best images of support in their favorite films. REEL facilitators lead breakout sessions where they help participants break down their clip and draw out their individual brand of support. And then the team is able to share their clips and insights with one another to know how to support each other more intentionally.
WHAT ARE THE OUTCOMES?
The primary outcome of our REEL SUPPORTING CAST experience is a team culture of care and servant leadership. Often times team members will miss each other or even have conflict because they are supporting one another in the way that they want to be supported. By having a visual map of each team member and their individual brand of support, team leaders and team members know specifically how each person truly wants to receive support. This increases collaboration and engagement on the team.
